From its origin in the United States, the Silken Windhound has gradually spread across continents.

This section documents that expansion — from the first recorded arrival in each country, to the beginning of local breeding, and ultimately to national recognition.
Today, the breed has been present in 38 countries across five regions.
The spread has not followed a single direction, but developed through independent initiatives, cross-border cooperation and sustained breeder networks. While several countries contributed to the breed’s presence in Europe, no single country outside the United States can be considered responsible for its development or for its global expansion.
